The Contraviersa Mountains lie between the Sierra Nevada Mountains and the Mediterranean Sea. Close to the coast, the climate in spring and late autumn is so mild that it rarely drops below 15 degrees Celsius, and it reaches the mid-20s in May. The region's main industries are almond, fig, and grape cultivation. In many small farms, mules and cattle still pull their plows, and horses and mules still provide transportation.

Accommodation will take place in a hotel that offers twin bedrooms with bathrooms. The accommodation is comfortable, very clean, and pleasant. We are committed to having the best accommodation available, there is no porter service, and most rooms are on the first or second floor.

On the lower slopes of Contraviersa and Alpuhara, wildflowers start in spring or as early as February and bloom until May.
The journey takes place along a dry riverbed, a dirt road that the old Romans and the Moors rode on. Here you can literally go from winter to spring, spring to summer, and back in a week.
The speed of the ride is determined by the terrain. However, on days 3 and 7, there are many narrow and uphill paths, so there are more sections to move to plain news or breaking news than to old news, and on other days, there are many opportunities to move to new news and old news.
However, since it is a rough mountainous area, you have to get off the horse and lead the horse on a steep road.

the first day's journey
From Malaga Airport to the village of Bubion in the PICKUP Contraviersa Mountains, you will stay in the charming Casala Sevillana in Bubion.
Casala Sevillana is a comfortable 19th century townhouse with seven bedrooms, a dedicated shower, a spacious patio, living room and dining room located in the heart of the town.
Local restaurants and cafes are a minute's walk away, having dinner with the accompanying riders and receiving briefings on the next day's journey.
Day 2 of the Journey
After breakfast, use your vehicle to move to a stable 5 km away from the town of Bubion, which is 1650 m above sea level. Today, you have time to adjust a little to the area and elevation by riding near the stable for a day, and to get to know the horse before setting off for a week.
Leave the stable, follow a small path past the summer pasture, and you will join a major forestry track that leads to the national park. There is a chance for cantering. Up to about 2,300 m along the track, you will join the path that ancient horses used to walk. Following this path, which passes through a pine forest, you will reach the Barranco Habali Ridge, which is about 2,100 m tall.
It is where we have lunch. It is then that on a sunny day, you can enjoy fantastic views along the valley to the Contraviesa, the Mediterranean Sea, and finally Africa! Afterwards, the route meets the main forestry track, which goes back to the stables through oak forests and open pastures. After dinner at a local restaurant, we spend the night at the Casa Sevillana Bubion. The riding time will be about 9 hours.
Day 3 schedule
On Day 3, head east to the village of Trevelez, which is 1,486 m above sea level for a five-star horseback riding vacation. This is not a ski resort, but Spain's highest municipality and the most famous productive city of Harmon in Europe. In the morning, it slowly descends along forest tracks and horse riding trails. The road passes through orchards and small terraces as it crosses the towns of Capilerilla, Pitres and Portugos.
There are a few sections where you have to lead your horse down a very steep slope.
Leave the town of Porto Gos below and start climbing about 600 m to the picnic area. After lunch in the shade of a pine forest with stunning views of the Mediterranean Sea, you'll be on the main forestry track to Trevelez. The track remains at about the same altitude, passing through forests and small mountain farms.
When you arrive at the village, you will follow an old stone road to the village for about 15 minutes. After enjoying Spain's delicious beer with some of Europe's best harmonies during your break, stay overnight and have dinner at the comfortable Hotel Fraga, located in the old Berber district of Trevelez. The riding time on the third day is expected to be about six to seven hours.

The fourth day of the journey continues eastward and leads to the town of Berchules. After a 10-minute walk through Trevelez Street, ride your horses across the river and follow the horse path along centuries-old Moorish irrigation channels to Gubo. It then goes up the evergreen Holm Oak and Pine Forest to the open pasture of the Sierra of Jubiles.
