Accommodations along the journey range from boutique hotels in Gredos and charming country hotels in town to delightful four-star hotels in El Barco de Aévila and comfortable hotels in the heart of the town of Salamanca.

Enjoy stunning cantering up and down the slopes of oak and pine trees, across crystal-clear water rivers, and across pastures and open fields along the Salamanca region. With beautiful architecture (medieval villages, churches, castles) and traditions from this remote region of Spain, the small town along the trail has unique characteristics.

The peace of horseback riding is eased daily with walking, trotting, and canter. Generally, canter is done when the terrain is safe. In the mountains, the terrain does not allow trotting or cantering in many areas, so you can walk with breathtaking views around you.

Day 1: Madrid - Navaredonda de Gredos
From Madrid Airport, we move to Sierra de Gredos around 3 p.m. A two-hour drive is followed by a welcome drink from Avila, a stunning walled medieval town designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site, where we take a short break and head to a hotel, where we enjoy a welcome dinner hosted by the Jerebeque Trails Horse Racing and take in beautiful views of the highest peak of Sierra de Gredos.
Day 2: Navaredonda de Gredos - Navachepeda de Tormes
After breakfast, the horse is assigned, and it runs through the open fields of the Gredos Mountains through the Tormes Valley and pine forests to have time to become friendly with the horse. The outdoor lunch is served with the delicious traditional Spanish paella by the swimming Tormes River.
After a short break, move to Navacepeda de Tormes in the afternoon and then to the hotel.
The riding time on day 2 is expected to be about 4 to 5 hours.
Day 3: Navachepeda de Tormes - Navachepedila de Corneha
Day 3 of riding starts in the Tormes River Valley. Running through the open, flat valley, tapas and drinks are waiting for you at exquisite time! This is when you can take a break while enjoying the stunning views of the Gredos Mountains.
Down the river valley to San Martin de la Vega. Up to Puerto de Chia (about 1,800 m above sea level), you can enjoy sweeping views of the Cornea Valley on one side and the River Albert on the other. Sit at a pretty table there and enjoy outdoor dining in the stunning surroundings.
In the afternoon, you will follow an ancient Roman road down to Navacepedilla de Corneja, where you spend the night in a beautiful, charming rural Spanish hotel. The third day of riding takes about six hours.
Day 4: Navache Pedilla de Corneha - El Miron
From Navacepedilla down the Corneja River into the valley. After tapas breaks, they arrive at Bonilla de la Sierra, a medieval town, for sightseeing. The town has three walls and three towers. The main part of the castle was formed by a 14th-century tower, which has a matakane and round arches, and underneath it is the main courtyard and room.
I had lunch in town, had a nice afternoon cantering along the Coneha Valley, and ended my fantastic day with a great view from El Miron Castle.
The riding time on this day is about 6 to 7 hours.
Day 5: El Miron - Horcajo Medianero
Passing through Dehesas, Salamanca, they see holm oak forests, bulls, and black Iberian pigs grazing. They eat Iberian pork for lunch and make a fun run through Dehesa and holm oak in the afternoon to Horkajo Medianero. We end the day with a tour of the monastery of Valdehymena, a magical place in Spain, and dinner at a hotel in the town. The riding time is also about 6-7 hours.
